In-class writing
1. Sounds:
It just sounds like a short poem about an ordinary thing that the poet did. (somehow feel satire?)
"eaten" strong sound
"s" sound
there is no punctuations, only two capital letter at the very beginning of the whole poem and the beginning of the last stanza.
strong stresses well combined with soft stresses, "not a quiet poem"
2. Picture:
plum--- purple, red
icebox--- transparent, maybe very light blue
breakfast--- a picture of someone waking up in an early morning (sunshine, bright) and finding the plums in the icebox
3. Story:
someone ate the plums that were not theirs, and then apologize for what he/she has done.
suppose to eat for breakfast
